FOOD ADULTRATION

The seminar titled “CONSUMER AWARENESS ON FOOD ADULTRATION” presented by the resource person Dr. V. Ragunathan B.Sc., M.B.A., M.A., D.M.M. social activist and police co-ordinator  in audio visual room on  20.02.2020.

 

The seminar was organised by Mrs. T.Papitha, Department of Commerce, Convener and  Mrs. Ashwini,  Department of Commerce, Co- Convener  at 11.20 am after the arrival of students and staff  from various departments at audio visual room.

 

 The seminar educate the students to act as healthy consumers by making them aware about food adulteration. It helps the students to understand different synthetic food colours and chemicals used in food items which cause short-term and long-term adverse effects on health, nutrition and intellectual performances.

The chief guest was honoured by Mrs. Ann Hepzibah  Niraja Vice Principal shift-I., Mrs. K. Subhashini Vice Principal shift-II and Head department of commerce Mr. T.Balachander.
