REPORT ON MGC ALUMNI ASSOCIATION- ANNUAL GENERAL BODY MEETING DATED: 12/03/2022

The MGC Alumni Association had conducted its first Annual General Body Meeting (AGM) on 12/03/2022. The meeting was conducted with the objective to pass the motion to elect slate of Executive Members. The meeting started with a prayer session by Rev.Fr.Dr. John Peter. Father prayed for the unity and prosperity of the Alumni Association. Blessings was given by our Secretary Rev.Fr.Philip Pulipra followed by father highlighting the importance of networking and staying connected. Father had also highlighted on how Alumni had played an instrumental role on helping students of MGC to be placed in reputed companies. Father also shared future projects on improving college infrastructure and quality of education. The prayer session was followed by Principal Dr.M.Sivarajan who had given the felicitation highlighting that Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science is elevating to greater heights and the Alumni Association should work hand in hand with the College Administration and the students to accelerate this elevation process. The President of MGC Alumni Association Mr.Jony Brewatson shared information on how the Alumni Association had started and the challenges faced by the team on laying the foundation which involved efforts by all members. The Vice President Ms.Priya Irudhayaraj had projected the journey of the Alumni Association using Power Point Presentation highlighting different SRT programs conducted by the Association along with the action plan for the upcoming year. Asst.Prof.Mr.Balachander had passed the motion to elect slate of Executive Members. Sir had also explained the duties of Executive Members. Our Secretary Rev.Fr.PhilipPulipraofficially distributed the Nomination form to the nominees. Asst.Prof .Mr.Leonard Solomon had proposed the Vote of Thanks. This was followed by Alumni friends who shared their identity Rev.Fr.Dr.John Peter explained about the coupon for fund collection for Silver Jubilee Celebrations. The meeting was a grand success and received a positive response. The Master of Ceremony for the meeting was Asst.Prof.Mohamed Arshad Ahamed M.
