Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science, Mogappair, Chennai, and MGC ECO GREEN club celebrated the Virtual World Environment Day Celebration Programe with webinar on Caring for Trees Around Us at 10 am on 05^th June 2021. Mrs.Shobha Menon,Founder and Managing Trustee, Nizhal Foundation was the Resource Person of the day. Nearly 300 staff and students, of Shift I and II participated. The master of ceremony was Mr.V.Senthil Murugan ,Asst.Professor,Dept. of Business Administration shift-II. The programme started with a Prayer .

Prof. Dr.T.Rani.Professor, Dept.of Commerce shift-I and member of MGC Eco Green Club delivered the welcome address.The Resource Person shared her experiences about the pandemic atmosphere due to the impact of covid 19. She also emphasized the source and importance of oxygen in our lives and about growing trees. She as a founder and managing trustee of NIZAL foundation shared her experience on growing and caring for tree .she as an active social worker strives very hard to make a change in our society by empowering youth to follow her steps also she shared facts on how people took inspiration from her activities and they themselves started to grow tree and care for tree.
