The Anti - Ragging Committee of Mar Gregorios College organized a seminar titled “Mental Health Support for Ragging Victim’s Healing and Rehabilitation”on 27th September 2023 at KCGSJ Hall between 12 pm to 1 pm for Shift I students. The seminar began with Thamizh Thai Vazhthu by the students of Shift I followed by a welcome Address by Dr. Kannaki, Convenor of this event. Later, the event was felicitated by the Principal Dr. R. Srikanth followed by a short introduction by Ms. Rashmi N, Co-Convenor of this event. The speakers were honored with a shawl and a memento. The speakers for the day were Dr. A. Prabhakaran who is a social worker, researcher, policy writer, media spokesperson, and Ms. S. Swetha is also a social worker. The speakers delivered their thoughts on Anti Ragging Policies and Laws, the Ragging incidents that happened in India and the measures that students have to take when he/she is being ragged or on seeing any student being ragged. The students of shift I actively participated in this seminar and gained knowledge through this seminar. The seminar was concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. M. C. Elumalai.
