MESSAGE FROM THE BURSAR

"For the LORD gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding." Proverbs 2:6

Dear Students of Mar Gregorios College of Arts and Science,

As we embark on the academic year 2024-2025, I extend my warmest wishes to each of you. In this age of rapid technological advancements, especially with the rise of artificial intelligence, it is essential to embrace an integral formation that not only prepares you academically but also shapes you into compassionate and ethical individuals.

Education is an ongoing process, a lifelong journey that continuously molds our character and intellect. The true essence of education lies not just in the accumulation of knowledge but in the formation of character. Without character, education falls short of its purpose. The great philosopher Aristotle once said, "Educating the mind without educating the heart is no education at all." This emphasizes the importance of developing virtues alongside intellectual capabilities. Similarly, Nelson Mandela wisely noted, "Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world." Education equips you with the tools to make meaningful contributions to society and lead a life of purpose and integrity.

As you navigate through this academic year, remember that the knowledge you acquire and the values you uphold will define your future. Strive for excellence, embrace challenges, and remain committed to your growth as well-rounded individuals.

May you have a successful and enriching year ahead.

Best wishes,

Rev. Fr. Thomas Keelathu (Joby John)

Bursar.
