This is done through a platform that facilitates hosting of all the courses, taught in classrooms from Class 9 till post-graduation to be accessed by anyone, anywhere at any time. All the courses are interactive, prepared by the best teachers in the country and are available, free of cost to any learner. More than 1,000 specially chosen faculty and teachers from across the country have participated in preparing these courses.

The courses hosted on SWAYAM are in 4 quadrants – (1) video lecture, (2) specially prepared reading material that can be downloaded/printed (3) self-assessment tests through tests and quizzes and (4) an online discussion forum for clearing the doubts. Steps have been taken to enrich the learning experience by using audio-video and multi-media and state of the art pedagogy / technology.

In order to ensure that best quality content is produced and delivered, nine National Coordinators have been appointed. They are:

2.   NPTEL (National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning) for Engineering
3.   UGC (University Grants Commission) for non technical post-graduation education

8.   IIMB (Indian Institute of Management, Bangalore) for management studies
9.   NITTTR (National Institute of Technical Teachers Training and Research) for Teacher Training programme

Around 150 students from various Department  actively participated in various online Courses

The Department of Commerce has taken initiatives to conduct an add-on course on office automation from 9^th October 2021, departmentdecided convenor as Ms. S. AnushaBanu, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce and Co-convenor as Mr. S. Ranjith, Assistant Professor, Department of Commerce. Around 70 students from 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd year have joined and benefitted.

MOU was established between Computer Application Department of MGC and ALB Computer Training Institute on 7th August 2018 for the Conduct of Add on Course Python from 13th August 2018. Around 40 students were joined and benefitted.

Department of Computer Applications has taken an initiative to organize a Certificate Course on Office Automation for the welfare of Mar Gregorios College Non computer Students. Around 104 students from the various departments of shift-1 have registered for the course. The Course duration is 30 hours.  The inauguration of the course was started on 1^st September 2021. Daily 1 hour class was conducted from 2.00pm to 3.00pm.

The department of Computer Applications has taken initiatives to conduct an add-on course on progressive web app development in association with IFANDFOR ENDEAVOURS from 11^th October 2021. So Memorandum of Understanding has been established between Computer Application Department of MGC and IFANDFOR ENDEAVOURS on 11^th October 2021 for the Conduction of Add on Course and other activities. Around 99 students from 1^st and 2^nd year have joined and benefitted.

The Department of Computer Application, Shift II had organized a ADD ON COURSE ifor the interested Students in association with IFANDFOREVER in the odd semester 2019-20. Around 30 Students have benefitted through this course. 

In continuation of MOU, Seminar on “Tally Ace” from 11.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. on 26^th July, 2019.After completion of Tally Course Completion,  on 21/02/2020, Certificates were distributed by Rev. Fr. Philip Pulipra,  Secretary and Dr. M. Sivarajan,  Principal of the College in the Presence of Regional manager of Tally Solutions and Co-ordinator of Vetri Education.

On 3^rd December, 2018, Commerce Department signed a MOU with Tally Solutions for “Tally Ace” an ADD-On Course. 69 students joined the Course. Our College Principal, Dr. K. Mohandoss and Mr. Meyyappan, Regional manager of Tally solutions signed the MOU. Vice Principas of Both the Shifts, Tally organizers and  Co-Ordinator of Vetri Education were present. Every day 2 lab hours in Vis. Com Lab it was conducted.

Department of Business Administration (Shift 1) , Mar Gregorios College of Arts & Science organized 5 days National level online course on Research Methodology from 19^th May 2020 to 23^rd May 2020. Online Registration form was been circulated to Research Scholars, Faculties and Students from 11^th May to 18 May 2020. Material links has be activated from 9 AM to 10 PM and online exam link was been available still 10PM of every day. No negative marks was been given and the total assessment mark is 100. Those who have scored more than 40% was been provided the completion of E-Certificates. Totally 730 were participated and 631 were been qualified and has been received E-Certificates.

Totally 17 students from II and III B.COM (AF) were registered for Tally ERP PRIME (30 hrs Teaching + 5 Hrs mock test),  16 students were cleared the online exam conducted by the Institute of Tally, Bangalore in association with Learn2win Academy with good knowledge and grade. The Students were awarded with the certificates from the above Institute on the same day.

The duration of the course “House Hold Appliances” was 40hours from 01/09/2021 to 24/09/2021. The course includes the fundamentals of Active & Passive components like Transistor, logic gates, Resistors, variable resistors, Capacitors, Inductors and the application of these components in “House Hold Appliances”. Around 55 students registered for this course.

Four weeks value -added Add on course on E Waste Management system was organized by the Department of Electronics and Communication Science from 06.11.2020 to 07.12.2020 for III year ECS Students via Google meet online platform. The course was conducted for 40 hours duration.

Department of Electronics and Communication Science conducted 30 Hrs Value added Course on “PIC AND ARM BASED MICROCONTROLLER” in association with Prolific System& National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC) from 04/10/21 to 27/10/21.

Seven days value added Add on course PCB layout design and Fabrication “was   by the Department of Electronics and Communication Science from 9/12/19 to 15/12/19for III Year ECS Students. The course was conducted for 42 hours duration. The Sessions were handled by Mr .S .Prakash M.E. Technical Head, Smart technologies.

The duration of the course “ARDUINO” was 42 hours from 25/02/2019 to 05/03/2019 .In this instructor-level , live training, participants  learnt  how to program the Arduino for real-world usage, such as to control lights, motors and motion detection sensors.

The Department of Computer Application organized an Add on Course 'Android Application Development' in Association with IFANDFOREVER for the interested students in the odd Semester 2019-20. More than 30 Students have benefitted.
